I think everyone loves before and after pictures, I know I sure do. It is the clear visual representation of how staging, or in this case furnishings, can transform an unfriendly, cold room (no matter how beautiful) into the warm inviting space we all want to spend time in. I had the privilege of furnishing a completely empty house for someone who had just moved here from another country. She requested a neutral color palate and actually preferred white, white, white-although her favorite color was red. We were on a tight deadline but managed to change an empty house into a welcoming home in mere weeks! The homeowners will do wall decor, textiles, rugs and accessories later in the year, so in the before and after pictures below you may notice my accessories repeated in places. Although the pictures do not represent the completely finished home, they do show the tremendous difference a space looks, and most importantly feels, without and without furnishings (and the designer touch)
